Anjan Kumar, M.D., is a quadruple board certified Physician, in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, Critical Care, and Neurocritical Care.

 

Dr. Kumar formerly practiced primarily at St. John Hospital & Medical Center in the Metro Detroit area and was on staff at a number of other hospitals in the area.

 

He was on a number of ICU Hospital Committees and participated in developing St. John Hospital & Medical Center as a leading Comprehensive Stroke Center in the Metro Detroit area.

 

Dr. Kumar has an avid interest in Healthcare innovation and was with Michigan Physicians Society as an advisory board member. 

 

He was actively involved in an organization called Society of Physician Entrepreuners. SOPE is an organization that empowers physicians and other professionals to innovate healthcare through entrepreneurship. The ultimate goal is championing healthcare innovation to allow for better treatments, improved access at lower costs, and ultimately making a better world through improved healthcare and bridge the gap between healthcare and business communities of like-minded individuals.

 

Dr. Kumar has been practicing as a Pulmonary & Critical Care Physician in Oklahoma City. He has ventured recently to start his own independent medical practice and continues to provide outpatient Pulmonary service to fellow Oklahomans in the community.

Dr. Kumar is also a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine in the Department of Family and Preventative Medicine.

 

In his free time Dr. Kumar loves to spend time with his wife, and 2 beautiful children and his Goldendoodle Ace. He is an avid traveler, and enjoys running, swimming, boxing and crossfit. He love’s trying new foods, spending time with family and friends, meeting new people, and enjoying life.
